Tilcon Connecticut makes $50,000 pledge toward hospital’s new cancer center

New Britain [January 28 2014] - The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HOCC) recently received a $50,000 pledge toward its new cancer center from Tilcon Connecticut on behalf of its employees. Tilcon’s gift supports the hospital’s $10 million fundraising campaign for the cancer center, currently under construction. The center’s main entrance patio garden will be named in recognition of Tilcon Connecticut employees. The $40 million state-of-the-art cancer center, expected to open by early 2015, will consolidate outpatient services in one convenient location and allow for future expansion of cancer care. The nearly 70,000-square-foot cancer center is being built by TBI Construction, LLC, on over nine acres on the New Britain/Plainville line.
