Living Well with Kidney Disease: Free Program
New Britain [May 16 2006] -
The New Britain General Hospital Dialysis Department will host its annual community based education program, Living Well with Kidney Disease, on Tuesday, June 6 from 6–9 p.m. This free program is intended for people approaching the need for dialysis; family members are encouraged to attend as well. The program will include brief talks by a variety of health care professionals involved in the care and treatment of people with kidney failure, as well as a panel of patients who are currently undergoing dialysis treatments or have had a kidney transplant.
Participants will have the opportunity to view demonstrations of the different types of dialysis, view exhibits, and ask questions of each of the healthcare professionals involved. The topic of kidney transplant will also be addressed.
The program will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 6–9 p.m. in Lecture Rooms 1 and 2. It is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. Refreshments will be served and parking will be validated. Please call the New Britain General Hospital Dialysis Department at 860-224-5195 for more information.
