Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomes physicians

New Britain [September 21 2012] - The Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomes these physicians:

Emergency Medicine
Michael J. Tiqui, M.D., earned his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed an emergency medicine residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital/Detroit Medical Center, Detroit. He practices at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.

Neurosurgery
Hussein I. Alahmadi, M.D., earned his medical degree at College of Medicine, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He completed an internship at College of Medicine, King Saud University; a neurosurgery residency and a neuro-oncology/skull base surgery clinical fellowship at University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He also completed a spine surgery clinical fellowship at Rush University, Chicago. Pediatrics
Amy E. Garaffa, M.D., earned her medical degree at University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed a pediatric residency at University of Connecticut School of Medicine Pediatric Residency Program, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Hartford. Evelyne Sousa, M.D., earned her medical degree at Federal University of Alagoas State, Brazil. She completed an internship at Federal University of the State of Alagoas; and a pediatric internship and residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine program, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Paterson, N.J. Rheumatology
Yousong Wang, M.D., Ph.D., earned his medical degree at Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City. He completed a rheumatology fellowship at Yale University; and a Ph.D. in pharmacology at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, N.Y. Most recently, he worked at Hebrew Health Care, West Hartford. Wang has also worked at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven campus; Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City; and at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Cancer Center (now Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center of Columbia University), New York City.
