Hospital honors employees for service

New Britain [May 11 2012] - The Hospital of Central Connecticut recognized 401 employees May 3 during the annual Employee Recognition Awards reception at the Aqua Turf Club, Southington.

Employees from both the Bradley Memorial and New Britain General campuses were honored for achieving service milestones in the preceding year, including Richard Borkowski, Food and Nutrition Department, who recently completed 50 years of service. Also honored were Rose Conte, department of Surgery, for 45 years of service. In addition 10 employees were recognized for 40 years of service; 21 employees for 35 years of service; and 22 employees for 30 years of service. Many more were honored for 25, 20, 15, 10 and five years of service.

Kelly Broad, Pharm.D., a pharmacist at the New Britain General campus, earned the President’s Award for Excellence in Customer Service at the event. The annual award is the hospital’s highest customer service honor. It’s designed to recognize an outstanding employee who embodies exemplary customer service, an ongoing commitment to customers, innovation and creativity in resolving customer issues and continuous improvement in customer service.

Judi Eaves, R.N., B.S.N., Information Technology Services, and Cheryl Sabal, Administration/Facilities Management, received Medical Staff Recognition Awards at the event.
