The Hospital of Central Connecticut welcomes these physicians:
Douglas P. Olson, M.D., earned his medical degree at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Yale University School of Medicine, where he was also a chief resident. He practices at Community Health Center, 85 Lafayette St., New Britain, 860-224-3642.
Bret M. Schipper, M.D., earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies. He completed a surgical internship at S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, N.Y.; and a surgical residency, research fellowship and surgical oncology fellowship at University of Pittsburgh. He practices at Central Connecticut Surgical Oncology, 40 Hart St., Building D, New Britain, 860-827-1981.
Jonathan E. Hasson, M.D., earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College of Union University, Albany, N.Y. His general surgery residency was at New York University-Bellevue Medical Center, New York City, and at the former Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago where he was also a chief resident. He completed a vascular research fellowship and vascular surgery clinical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Among his experience, he is a former chief, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Waterbury Hospital; former chief, Vascular Surgery and other surgery sections, First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, N.C. Hasson was in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps, serving in Desert Storm with last rank of lieutenant colonel. He has served on the U.S. International Medical/Surgical Team and is part of the Connecticut Disaster Management Assistant Team. He is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at University of Connecticut School of Medicine and has held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and University of Wisconsin-Madison. He practices at MidState Medical Group, 455 Lewis Ave., Suite 203, Meriden, 203-634-1900.
