Staff at New Britain General Hospital, Bradley Memorial Hospital and other Central Connecticut Health Alliance affiliates organize to help hurricane victims.
New Britain [September 06 2005] -
Help fellow healthcare workers devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Thousands have lost their homes entirely, while others have sustained severe damage.
CenConn Services, Inc., the for-profit arm of the Central Connecticut Health Alliance, is donating $50,000 to the relief effort on behalf of New Britain General and Bradley Memorial Hospitals and fellow CCHA affiliates. The money will be distributed to the affected healthcare workers through the VHA Health Foundation. VHA is an alliance of hospitals and healthcare associations and both New Britain General and Bradley are members. The VHA Foundation has a long history of providing disaster relief to healthcare workers who need it most. All gifts are tax deductible.
