Free talk on cancer survivorship for women

A nationally recognized social worker and author will discuss surviving cancer at The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s Women’s Survivorship Forum April 12, New Britain General campus cafeteria.
The free talk, “After Cancer: A Woman’s Common Sense Guide to Reclaiming Life After Treatment,” features Hester Hill-Schnipper, LICSW, a 14-year breast cancer survivor and social worker at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Hill-Schnipper will discuss survivorship issues for women with all cancers. She has written books on being newly diagnosed and on long-term survivorship issues and facilitates a variety of support groups in Boston.
The event, sponsored by the hospital’s George Bray Cancer Center, begins at 6 p.m. with a dinner. Limited seating is available, but reservations are required. Call 860-224-5299 to reserve a seat.
