Southington Diagnostic Center Employees Receive Awards
Southington [March 13 2007] -
Five employees of The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s Southington Diagnostic Center are being honored by the Southington Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber’s 2007 “Ann Hauver Award” is being given to employees who exemplify the ethics and spirit of a local business. “These employees are exceptionally friendly and professional to clients,” Chamber President Arthur Secondo said. The employees at the North Main Street office are Elaine Parciak and Nora Carvalho, radiologic technologists; Heather Rinaldi, registration specialist; and Terri Kramer and Leo Lavertue, phlebotomists. The employees have a combined total of 73 years of service at the Diagnostic Center and the Bradley Memorial Campus. The award is named for Ann Hauver, who was an exceptional employee at the Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years, according to Secondo.
The award surprised the employees. “I guess we were nominated by one of the town council members,” said Elaine Parciak. “We never know who is observing us. When we are consistent in our everyday practice, just being friendly, compassionate, and welcoming, it gets noticed.”
“They are just good people who do a really good job. It’s great that they are being recognized,” said Frances Carvalho, radiology manager at the Bradley Memorial campus.
The Greater Southington Chamber Commerce will present the awards at the organization’s annual dinner meeting Sat., April 14 at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville.
