ConnectiCare to Sponsor Hospital Golf Tournament
Southington [March 01 2007] -
The Farmington-based ConnectiCare will be the Title Sponsor of The Hospital of Central Connecticut’s Bradley Memorial Campus Golf Tournament, May 23 at Hawk’s Landing Country Club in Southington.
This is the first-ever title sponsorship for the charity tournament, held annually to support programs and services at the Bradley Memorial campus in Southington.
“It’s exciting to see organizations work together in their dedication to improving the health of the community,” says David Obedzinski, the hospital’s executive director of Institutional Advancement and chief development officer. “We’re grateful for ConnectiCare’s major support of this event, which will help the hospital fulfill its mission to provide the most advanced care to our Central Connecticut neighbors.”
“We appreciate the opportunity to support the hospital as it continues to promote outstanding services to the citizens of our region,” says Mickey Herbert, president and CEO of ConnectiCare.
The 17th annual tournament will begin with a 10 a.m. shotgun start and include contests on the course and other activities. For information or to sign up as a player, sponsor or volunteer, call Michelle Gonzalez, tournament coordinator, (860) 224-5441.
Last year’s Bradley Memorial Golf Tournament drew 150 golfers and raised its highest amount ever – over $17,000 – for hospital programs.
