Executive Director of Physician and Patient Relations Named
New Britain [November 20 2006] -
Elaine Greene, RN, BSN, MPA, of Bridgewater, has been named executive director of physician and patient relations at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
Greene has over 27 years experience in the healthcare industry. She spent the last 15 years at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington, holding a variety of positions, including director and assistant vice president of nursing, and most recently chief operating officer and director of nursing.
Her new post was created following the Oct. 1 merger of New Britain General and Bradley Memorial hospitals to enhance customer service to patients, and to develop programs and services to meet the needs of medical staff at the newly combined hospitals. She will also assist with physician recruitment as the hospital positions itself to fulfill the emerging medical needs of the larger community.
Before joining Bradley, Greene worked as a nursing educator and staff nurse at other Connecticut and New York hospitals.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Niagara University, Niagara Falls, New York, and her master’s degree in public administration, with a concentration in healthcare administration, from Pace University, Dyson College of Arts & Sciences, White Plains, N.Y.
