Bone density & osteoporosis
A quick and painless health screening for osteoporosis. Preliminary results will be provided at the time of the test, with information on calcium, vitamin D, bone loss prevention and research trial opportunities.
Heel ultrasound - A non-invasive test that evaluates bone in the heel of the foot. This is test is appropriate for patients over age 65 and/or those with:
- A history of broken bones
- Menopause
- Peri-menopausal with menopausal symptoms
- Long-term history of steroid use (i.e. Prednisone)
- Long absence of menstrual periods (amenorrhea)
