The first Webcast of weight-loss surgery using the REALIZE™ Adjustable Gastric Band is presented by The Hospital of Central Connecticut and OR-Live. The procedure, utilizing and the latest laparoscopic techniques, was performed by Dr. Carlos Barba. Narration is in both English and Spanish.

REALIZE™ is similar to other laparoscopic bands but offers additional support to patients, including goal-setting, meal planning, nutrition counseling and a host of on-line tools designed to promote enduring weight-loss success.
Narration and commentary for the Webcast is provided by Dr. David Giles, co-medical director of the hospital's bariatric surgery center. Narration in Spanish is available on the hospital's Spanish-language web site, www.hospitaldecc.org.
