Joseph Aferzon, M.D.

Joseph Aferzon Dr. Aferzon is a board-certified neurosurgeon and chief of neurosurgery at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. He earned his medical degree from State University of New York School of Medicine and Bio-Medical Sciences, Buffalo, N.Y.; completed his internship at the University of Connecticut Health Center's John Dempsey Hospital; and his residency in neurosurgery at Hartford Hospital. He is in practice in New Britain, (860) 832-4664


Edward W. Akeyson, M.D., Ph.D.

Edward Akeyson Dr. Akeyson is board-certified in neurosurgery. He earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore; and completed his internship in general surgery and residency in neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Tex. He is a clinical instructor with the Department of Neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Akeyson is in practice in New Britain and Southington, (860) 832-4664.

Ahmed M. Khan, M.D.

Ahmed Khan Dr. Khan is board-certified in neurosurgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine; completed an internship in general surgery at the UConn School of Medicine and a residency in neurological surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University School of Medicine, Providence, R.I. He is in practice with Connecticut Neurosurgery and Spine, with offices in New Britain and Southington, (860) 225-1227.
