Diet and nutrition
The Hospital of Central Connecticut offers comprehensive nutrition counseling for people with medical conditions requiring changes in diet and eating habits.
Our registered dietitians, members of the American Dietetic Association, work with your physician to create individualized plans to help you meet short-term and long-term goals for improved health. The hospital also hold lectures and other educational events on nutrition for our patients and the public.
Weigh Your Options, our clinical weight loss center housed at the New Britain General campus, offers everything from very low-calorie and liquid diets to weight loss surgery.
Through its Elliot and Marsha Cohen Good Life Center, the hospital also offers exercise programs led by specially trained, certified staff members.
