Services

The Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate at The Hospital of Central Connecticut has assembled a team of specially trained professionals who work together with each patient, the patient's families or caregivers, and primary care physicians to coordinate and provide diabetes care to meet the individual's needs.

The team includes physician diabetes specialists; certified diabetes educators (registered nurses and dietitians); exercise physiologists; and social workers. Additional specialists who help control diabetes complications include a podiatrist, nephrologists, ophthalmologist and vascular specialist. All professionals attend ongoing education programs to provide you with the latest information and treatments.

Physician consultation

All Joslin physicians are endocrinologists specializing in diabetes. Your Joslin physician will communicate regularly with your personal physician to provide optimal diabetes care. With detailed information on your diabetes management and treatment program, your personal physician will continue to oversee and manage your overall health.

HCC's Joslin Diabetes Center Affiliate physicians Drs. Petit, Rosenblatt, Bernene, Dulipsingh and Khawaja were awarded Recognition by the American Diabetes Association and the National Committee for Quality Assurance for providing quality care to their patients with diabetes. The Joslin physicians will hold Recognition status for three years.
