Telemetry units
HCC's telemetry units are staffed by board-certified cardiologists and specially trained nurses and technicians.
Telemetry allows caregivers to simultaneously monitor the hearts of multiple patients at once. Blood-oxygen level, blood pressure and heart rhythms are continuously measured and data relayed to computers. Specially trained technicians monitor the computers and are ready to react quickly should a cardiac incident occur.
Patient information and a report on the incident are generated instantaneously to expedite medical care. In a matter of moments, nurses and physicians can respond to the patient's bedside to take action.
