Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
New Britain General campus
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory offers minimally invasive tests to check heart and artery function, as well as angioplasty to clear blocked arteries.
The lab is staffed by an experienced team of registered nurses and certified radiology technologists, led by a board-certified cardiologist. The team performs tests on an outpatient basis Monday through Friday and are on call for emergencies seven days a week. Click a topic at the left to learn more.
Cardiac catheterization
This is a minimally invasive diagnostic test that provides clear, accurate coronary images and measurements of the heart, coronary arteries and in some cases, the aorta. It is one of the most accurate diagnostic tests for coronary artery disease.
