Early Detection Program
New Britain General campus: (860) 224-5505
The Connecticut Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program at The Hospital of Central Connecticut is designed to increase early breast and cervical cancer screening for women ages 19-64, particularly those who are uninsured or underinsured.
Many breast cancer screening and diagnostic services are offered free through the program, including office visits, screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, breast ultrasounds, fine needle aspirations and clinical breast exams.
Program objectives are:
To reduce breast and cervical cancer morbidity and mortality by diagnosing breast and cervical cancer at earlier stages
To provide screening and diagnostic services to medical underserved women in Connecticut
To provide comprehensive and ongoing services to eligible women
