The George Bray Cancer Center at The Hospital of Central Connecticut is a center of excellence built upon the extensive network of professionals, advanced treatments and services to address every physical, emotional and spiritual aspect throughout the disease process. Treatment options include radiation, chemotherapy and clinical research trial opportunities while education and support programs address other aspects of each patient's total well being.
In recognition of the exemplary approach to cancer treatment, the program at The Hospital of Central Connecticut has achieved the prestigious accreditation of a Teaching Hospital Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Cancer.
Who is George Bray
During his 35 years as a surgeon and as chief of New Britain General Hospital's medical staff, George H. Bray, M.D., has seen the many faces of cancer. He steadfastly believes positive attitude, compassion and encouragement work hand-in-hand with advanced technology to positively impact recovery. When he was diagnosed with cancer and became a patient himself, he became a living example of the message he proclaimed. The cancer center bearing his name blends science with the art of caring. Thousands of patients have benefited from its vital services since it opened in 1992.
