Other Services

Having a baby in the Special Care Nursery can be difficult, but we're here to help. Our staff can answer your questions; support and educate you; connect you with community resources; and provide other valuable services.

Breastfeeding

The Family BirthPlace provides the services of an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, a Breastfeeding Support Center and support group for breastfeeding moms.

Parent/infant bonding

Special Care Nursery staff can teach you techniques to bond with your baby, even when he/she requires special care and equipment.

Loveline

A 24-hour hotline, (860) 224-LOVE (860-224-5683), is available to support new parents after they have returned home.

M.O.M.S. Program

A support group for pregnant or parenting mothers ages 21 or younger.
