Hospital to hold free lecture on prostate cancer and nutrition

The public is invited to a free lecture on nutrition and prostate cancer Tuesday, Sept. 13 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut's New Britain General campus, 100 Grand St. Registration is at 6 p.m., followed by the talk, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Mark A. Moyad, M.D., M.P.H., an author and co-director of the men's health program at the University of Michigan, will give a talk, followed by a Q & A session moderated by HCC urologists Joshua Stein, M.D. and Raphael Cooper, M.D.

Moyad is the author of numerous medical articles and the author or co-author of a number of books, including several on prostate cancer. Moyad received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine and is working on his Ph.D. in pathology and N.D. (naturopathic doctor) degree. He has had a consulting practice for nearly 10 years, and runs clinical trials and basic science studies about complementary/preventive medicine.
