Allscripts EMR systems services at hospital Feb. 3, 10
[January 14 2011] -
On Feb. 3 and Feb. 10, The Hospital of Central Connecticut (HCC) and Hartford HealthCare will present Allscripts electronic medical record (EMR) systems services and demonstrations for physicians.
The event will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb.3 at the New Britain General Campus Lecture Room; and from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at the Bradley Memorial Campus Board Room. System demonstrations will be at 7 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. and last about one hour; or stop by for a one-on-one demonstration. Staff will be available to discuss these products, Meaningful Use, Interfaces, 5010 and ICD-10. Light refreshments will be served.
o Allscripts Enterprise is a full-featured EMR for complex practices, typically five or more providers, providing all the functionality larger groups need to manage and document patient care. The system may be integrated with many practice management systems already in use.
o Allscripts MyWay is a simpler EMR for individual practitioners or groups of up to five. It’s available with a Practice Management system fully integrated with the EMR, simplifying implementation. Clinical data exchange is through the Hartford Healthcare Health Information Exchange (HIE), which allows hospitals, physicians and other caregivers to share clinical information as patients move from one care setting to another. HIE also connects non-Allscripts practices to allow clinical information sharing.
