Leaving the hospital
Discharge
Your attending physician will decide when you may be discharged. We strive to have all patients discharged by 11 a.m., but you may be discharged later, depending on your doctor's orders and any paperwork or procedures requiring completion.
Before discharge, your nurse will review and provide you with a copy of any post-hospital care instructions.
You can help make the discharge process run smoothly. The day before discharge, please arrange a ride home for the following day. If you don't have a ride, tell your nurse and we will help arrange transportation.
