Position Duties:
  Under the supervision of the Cancer Registry Coordinator, this position is responsible for identifying patients with reportable neoplasms and then abstracting accurate and complete information from these patients’ medical records into the Tumor Registry database in compliance with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Standards.
Educational Requirements:
  High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Requirements:
  CTR certification required. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Basic data entry skills. Previous HIM experience as a Cancer Registrar required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  Knowledge of medical terminology. Effective personal computer input and retrieval knowledge. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Hours:
  40 hours, Monday-Friday
