A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multi-center study to determine the efficacy & safety of Albiglutide in Subjects with Type 2 diabetes. Albiglutide is a novel DPP-4 resistant GLP-1 once a week injection. It increases insulin secretion, decrease glucagon secretion and reduces appetite.

Inclusion Criteria:

• 18 years or older
• Diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
• Having trouble controlling your blood sugar level

Establishment of a clinical registry & DNA repository for personalized management of diabetes mellitus. Observational study. A single blood sample is obtained for each patient. DNA will be analyzed to identify genetic markers that are predictive of treatment response to glitazones that effect glucose and lipids.
